Privacy Policy

1. Scope and operator

This policy explains how StyleMax AI, a Menlo Park Lab product ("StyleMax," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you use the StyleMax AI mobile application, website, and related services.

2. Information we collect

Account information

We process your email address, name or display name, internal user identifier, authentication status, and—if you choose them—Sign in with Apple or Google authentication identifiers.

Personalization information

We process the lifestyle, wardrobe focus, style direction, fit preferences, and related choices you provide so recommendations can reflect your preferences.

Photos, wardrobe content, and results

We process outfit photos, full-body photos, garment images, styling instructions, wardrobe metadata, and AI-generated analyses or previews when you choose to use those features. Photo-library access is limited to items you select, and camera access occurs only when you initiate capture.

Purchases and credits

We process subscription product, entitlement, renewal, cancellation, expiration, and credit-balance information. Apple processes payment details; we do not receive your full payment-card number.

Technical and service data

We may process app version, device and operating-system information, request timestamps, security events, error details, and feature interactions needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.

3. How we use information

• Authenticate your account and preserve your settings.
• Analyze outfits, extract wardrobe items, and generate requested virtual try-ons.
• Personalize recommendations using the preferences you provide.
• Manage subscriptions, credits, restores, and account deletion.
• Protect the service, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain reliability.
• Comply with law and enforce our terms.

4. AI processing

When you request analysis, garment extraction, or virtual try-on, relevant images and instructions may be sent to an AI processing provider. Depending on availability and feature, providers may include Microsoft Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, Cohere, or Replicate. We limit the submitted data to what is needed for the requested result. StyleMax does not use your photos to train its own general-purpose AI model.

AI results are probabilistic and may be inaccurate. Virtual try-ons are directional previews and may not reproduce real-world fit, drape, color, or appearance.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to operate the app:

• Supabase for authentication, database, server functions, and application storage.
• Cloudflare R2 for private media storage.
• AI processing providers named above for features you request.
• RevenueCat and Apple for subscription and entitlement processing.
• Apple and Google when you choose their sign-in services.

These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a corporate transaction with appropriate safeguards.

6. No sale, advertising, or cross-app tracking

We do not sell or rent personal information. StyleMax does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising.

7. Storage, security, and retention

We use transport encryption, access controls, account-scoped database policies, private object storage, and short-lived media access links. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Account information, preferences, wardrobe content, and saved results are generally kept while your account is active. Security, transaction, and webhook records may be retained as needed for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, and legal compliance. When you delete your account, we remove account-linked data from active systems; limited backups or records required by law may remain until they age out under provider retention schedules.

8. Your choices and rights

You may update profile and style preferences in the app, control camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings, cancel a subscription through Apple, and delete your StyleMax account from the app. Depending on your location, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability by contacting us.

9. International processing

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected using contractual or other lawful safeguards.

10. Children

StyleMax is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Regional minimum-age requirements may be higher.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product or law changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the app.
